Junk Removal Service Terms
HAULTRA wants customers to understand what to expect before a junk removal appointment begins. These Service Terms explain how estimates, access, payment, material acceptance and job completion are handled for our junk removal services in Vancouver and surrounding cities.
Before Your Appointment
When requesting an estimate, provide accurate information about:
- Items being removed
- Approximate volume
- Heavy or oversized items
- Stairs
- Elevators
- Parking and loading conditions
- Carrying distance
- Pest contamination
- Potentially hazardous materials
- Any unusual property conditions
Photos and videos can help us understand the scope of a job before arrival.
Estimates vs. Final Pricing
A quote provided from photographs, videos or customer descriptions is based on the information available at that time.
The final price may change when the actual job differs in:
Volume: There is substantially more material than originally shown.
Weight: Materials are significantly heavier than expected.
Material type: The load contains items requiring different disposal or handling.
Access: Stairs, elevators, long carrying distances or other access conditions were not originally disclosed.
Labour: Additional labour is required to complete the removal safely.
Contamination: Items have bedbugs, pests or other contamination requiring special handling.
HAULTRA will communicate necessary pricing changes before additional work is performed.
You will have an opportunity to approve the final price before we proceed.
Payment on the Day of Service
Payment must be settled in full on the day the service is completed unless a different arrangement has been expressly approved in writing beforehand.
We accept credit/debit cards, e-transfer and other approved electronic payment methods.
We do not accept cheques and do not routinely carry outstanding invoices.
When You Can't Be On-Site
You don’t necessarily have to remain at the property throughout the appointment.
Off-site service may be possible when:
- Property access has been properly arranged
- Items for removal are clearly identified
- Necessary approvals have been provided
- Pricing and job instructions are clear
HAULTRA may require full payment upfront when the customer cannot remain on-site.
After completion, we can provide photographs or videos showing the completed removal.
Access to Your Property
Customers should arrange all necessary access before the scheduled service.
This may include:
- Elevator reservations
- Loading-area bookings
- Building-management approval
- Gate access
- Parking arrangements
- Keys or access codes
- Permission to enter the relevant area
Failure to provide suitable access may result in rescheduling or a cancellation charge, particularly when the crew has already been dispatched.
Materials We Can and Cannot Remove
HAULTRA handles a wide range of junk, but not every material can legally or safely be transported as ordinary junk.
Hazardous, regulated, explosive, chemical or otherwise prohibited materials may not be accepted.
Never hide or mix potentially hazardous materials into an ordinary junk load.
Contact us before your appointment if you’re uncertain about an item.
Pest or Contamination Disclosure
Customers must disclose known bedbugs, other pest contamination or unusual unsafe conditions before the crew arrives.
Failure to disclose contamination can affect whether the job can proceed and may result in additional handling requirements or charges.
Completion of Service
Once HAULTRA has removed the agreed items and completed the authorized work, the junk removal service is considered complete.
Completed services are final and non-refundable.
Legitimate concerns should be reported promptly so they can be documented and reviewed.
